Microsoft Planner has multiple front doors. Start by signing in to your Office 365 account. You can do this at any of the many entry points in Office 365, including:

  • office.com
  • admin.microsoft. com
  • outlook.com

If you’re already signed in to a different area of ​​Microsoft Office, you can find the link to the Microsoft Planner app by selecting the app launcher icon in the upper left corner and choosing Planner. If Scheduler is not listed, select All Apps and find Scheduler in the list.

Microsoft Planner offers many ways to get a bird’s eye view of your plan.

Charts

The Charts tab displays a summary of the status of all tasks in the plan, the number of tasks in each segment, a chart showing the number of tasks at each priority level (urgent, important, medium, and low), and a list of tasks. plan participants and how many tasks were assigned to each person.

Select the three dots to the right of the Schedule tab and you’ll find many more Microsoft Planner features.

  • The conversation takes you straight to Outlook so you can send emails to group members.
  • Members will be taken to the group membership page for your plan, where you can add and remove members.
  • Files take you to the group’s Sharepoint library, where you can create, upload, delete and edit documents associated with your plan.
  • Notebook launches a Microsoft OneNote notebook dedicated to your plan.

You can also add a plan to your favorites, make a copy of the plan in Microsoft Planner, export the plan to Excel, copy the link to your plan, and add the plan to your Outlook calendar.

Group owners can select Plan Options to configure the group’s email settings and specify whether the group should receive an email when a task is assigned or completed. The owner can also delete the plan here.

When a task is complete, the person assigned to it can mark it as completed on their card on the board.

Members of the plan can choose when to receive notifications from the Planner by selecting the gear/settings icon, selecting Notifications, and specifying their notification settings.
