Some of them are harder to read than others but that could be just a solar powering issue. .
Unfortunately had to send this order back. Most of them didn’t work. That that did were clear and easy to see. This are quite big. .
Great calculator for my office. I like the bigger screen and buttons because my eyes need a bigger font. Its very easy to use and no batteries needed. .
I am using these in my classroom and they are very easy for my students to use a read. The big numbers for touching help their just learning to use fingers and the big numbers on the screen are a nice visual. .

I unpacked the box and read the instructions which say the battery is an AG10 button battery but it has a compartment on the back for a AA battery. This does not make sense! So I decided to take it apart. This calculator is powered by a coin LR1130 button battery INSIDE and is apparently ‘recharged’ by a AA battery on the back compartment, AA NOT included. I removed the coin battery without installing the AA battery and the SOLAR POWER does NOT work at all as stated in other reviews. This calculator is powered by a battery with a separate AA battery backup. Please be VERY CAREFUL when taking it apart for any reason – the AA battery wires are attached to the back cover and connected to the circuit board so you only have a few inches to separate the two – AND the screws are really not needed – it snaps together very securely so be careful when taking it apart! This is NOT worth $10 at all maybe $3 or $4 dollars at a bargain store. FALSE & FRAUDULENT advertising! The first photo shows the NO POWER when batteries removed even with a strong light source. The 2nd photo is the AA battery connected to the circuit board and the 3rd photo is the button LR1130 main power source battery. .
Arrived with a dead battery. Calculator built in Solar Array does not have enough to power it even when sitting in the sunlight in front of a window. I had to buy another battery LR41 which was $6 for a 5 pack. Turned out to be almost a $20 calculator which I didnt want to spend. .
Firstly, for around $10, having it delivered to my door next day and being able to use it in its basic form right out of the box I will say it appears to be a fair value. It’s not great in any way, if compared to high quality desk calculators. But for a private label knock-off, it appears to do what I need here in my home office.Having used calculators since their introduction in the early 70s, I do remember the first generation of cordless calculators, circa 1972. This is not that quality it’s today’s level of expected utility quality; it’s lightweight, and has mushy button-push with side-travel. Quality calculators have button push travel that’s straight down where the button feels well supported, somewhat like your computer keyboard. Regarding the power sources, I’ve read reviews about the solar cell being a non-operative item, so I’m relying on the AA battery I put into the unit upon receipt, and the auto-shut-off that kicks in around 5 minutes.SEE MY ATTACHED PHOTO of the calculator’s instruction sheet . For the average I just need a basic calculator, this should fit the bill. But if you’re looking to utilize the few extra functions available, don’t look for instructions that will fully explain the why’s and how’s. The operating instructions are typical-poorly written and barely adequate. So, If you don’t understand, or even if you do understand, FLOATING DECIMALS and ROUND-UP/DOWN functions you’ll need another source to better understand those two slide-switch functions on this device. I’ll attach a photo of the instructions and you’ll know what I mean. But at least you do get those two functions.SEE ATTACHED PHOTO OF calculator with my two rubber washers attached to backside of case . One very physical-usage issue that does cause me a problem is the extremely light weight of this calculator. There are two rubber feet on the front edge, but the back edge that sits on my desk are just two thin and hard 1/4 inch plastic lines that eminate from the case. I added my own rubber feet on the backside to keep the calculator from sliding. I grabbed two flat rubber washers, and attached to the case with foam-tape. It’s now more stable. .
Very helpful calculating basic math related to my company’s finances etc as well as computing the more significant calculations required by the built-in-time machine, if you want to end up in the right epoch of history, that is. You will definitely want to use the advanced functions to ensure you do not end up eaten by a dinosaur or suddenly appear in the middle of a 19th century smallpox epidemic. Even if you’re not up for time travel in the literal sense (and to be fair, DS200MKL held its own in that capacity!) gazing upon its retro contours will likely inspire nostalgia for a time when a desktop calculator could inspire excitement, intellectual curiosity, and — dare I say it? — the dream of a more sensible human society defined as much by its love of reason as its compassion for fellow humans and animals alike. Except sloths. They’re useless. .
