I’ve had this for a few days and so far I’m very satisfied with the calculator. It’s like a dream that a seemingly quite powerful calculator is paired with competent directions. I haven’t tried all the features yet but it has me looking back on matrices and differentiation, integration, combinations and permutations. It leads you down the garden path to understanding applied math. Looking into it, I didn’t know complex numbers is just math incorporating the square root of a negative numbers. With tools for students as well as professionals. I’m surprised it didn’t have a digital logic feature. A nice gift to myself for a fist full of quarters. .
This is a better version of the one I had 25 years ago in undergrad. Great display. Easy to use. great with fractions, unit conversions and I love the display too. just bought 2 more for the office.I can’t find any info on Casio and Osalo being the same company, but this appears identical 1st Gen Casio CS-991ms. .
My son needed for Scientific things but it didn’t solve any Scientific equations it stated that was an Arrow my son in eighth grade middle school had to return back. .
This product says “newâ€, yet box is damaged and goods inside were obviously handled because you see someone’s greasy fingerprints on the case. Not happy beingbthat this was supposed to be a gift😡 .

With a 16 digit wide display, I expected the calculator would easily handle 16bit binary numbers. Or more as it has 4 line display. The largest binary number it can handle is 511 (9bit)Another complaint I have the the results typically are shown as fractions (if possible). Instead of 0.25 you will see 1/4. you have to press change button to finally see the 0.25 result. Calculating fractions is more effort and can be useful — I wish I could change the default mode. .
display is slightly faded that my previous Sharp even after adjusting the settings. I always lose my calculations trying to figure out how to utilize the arrows because the placeholder arrow confuses me every time requires me working much slower than expected. It comes packed with many modes that take time to figure out because you’re always having to switch between sub-settings to complete a calculation fully. But compared to other brands, I still find it better than the rest. .
First, let me say I have not used this calculator extensively, but I have used it enough to know it will do what it says it will. Yes, there seems to be a “different” philosophy in the user interface that puts some off, but this is my 3rd Sharp Engineering calculator, and I loved the other two. The user interface is not much different from the others, and gives me no trouble. The rest of this review is about Amazon. I ordered my calculator, and was surprised to see I was charged only 2/3rds the list price. Pleasant surprise, but I was not so sanguine when I saw I would be getting a “used” product. I figured it would be a college book store buyback. After thinking about it, this was really fine with me. Imagine my surprise when my calculator arrived BRAND NEW! Thanks Amazon, for keeping the faith! .
