Effectively use Google Search While Traveling.
Are you planning your next vacation? Or are you looking forward to discovering new places? Or do you travel frequently for business? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, read on.
Google is the king of search. And I’m sure you already use many Google products. For example, Google Search, Maps, Translator, etc. However, in this post, we will see some less obvious Google search keywords that will make your journey more fun.
Google search tips and tricks for travelers
# 1 Good places for sightseeing
Wouldn’t it be great if you could tell your friends which place to visit even if it’s your first time there?
Instead of digging through information on websites or asking people on the forum (which is time consuming), you can quickly ask Google.
Enter “ things to do in __†followed by the city or country. Google will return a list of known places. Click on a thumbnail and you will see its description, direction, reviews, etc. All under the hood.
# 2 Feel Your Destiny
Google Street View is used for live preview at your destination.
Find a location on google maps, say Taj Mahal. Then drag the little yellow men in the lower right corner of the screen to their destination on Google Maps.
You will see a beautiful 360-degree view of the Taj Mahal. For privacy purposes, people’s faces on maps will be blurred.
# 3 Get a local sunrise / sunset
Sunrise or sunset times are not the same in all locations. So instead of just guessing, why not ask Google. Enter Sunrise in Tokyo or any other place you visit.
# 4 Finding a movie in your city
If you are in a foreign country, you may not know which website all the films are listed on. For example, book my show that works in India; will not work in another country. So google it like London movie .
Google will show movies with date, time and cinema hall.
# 5 Tracks flights
You can see the flight status directly on Google by simply entering the flight name.
# 6 Local Time Search
It is always best to check the time before calling anyone living in a different time zone. Obviously, you don’t want to be woken up in the middle of sleep. So enter “time in city_name” and Google will show you the time there.
# 7 Convert to local currency
Once in a new location, you can do a quick Google search to convert their local currency to one of yours. No special application needed. I use it all the time to convert my Adsense earnings to Indian Rupees.
Apart from this, you can also use the conversion from centimeters to meters, pounds to kilograms and Celsius to Fahrenheit with Google search.
Note
When traveling, always take pictures of important documents like passport, visa, tickets, hotel address, etc., and email them to yourself. This is sometimes useful.
