How Many Cores Does My CPU Have? A Guide For All OS.

The CPU is the main building block of your computer, whether you are using Mac or Android. It does all the hard work when you play or just flip through the pages. If your system has more cores, it means that it can handle more processes at the same time. This will greatly improve the performance of your computer. Knowing the number of cores in your computer or mobile phone will help you understand and compare the performance of different devices and equipment.

So how do we know the number of cores in Windows, Mac, Android or iOS devices? Each of these platforms has a different method and we will discuss them all below. Choose your operating system and test it on your device now.

Another and much better way to find out the number of cores inside your processor is through software. Download and install the CPU-Z software. It is a free program with no ads. With CPU-Z, you can also find out the number of threads used by cores, their speed, and more.

To find out the number of cores running inside your MacBook, simply click on the ever-present Apple logo in the upper left corner of the screen.
