How to Bulk Resize Photos Using Windows 10

You can easily and quickly resize a single photo manually, but what if you need to manually resize a group of photos?

In this article, we’ll walk through the process of manually resizing multiple photos in one shot using only Windows 10. We’ll also talk about one free tool that can also fix this problem.

Use the Mail Recipient Hack

An easy way to manually resize multiple photos is to use Windows Explorer 10. While there is no feature that directly lets you “bulk resize” photos, it can still get the job done. You just need to think outside the box.

Here’s what you need to do.

First, collect all the photos you plan to resize. Make sure to put them in the same folder.

Select all of these photos. To do this, you can press ctrl + A. Right click them and select Submit. Then select Mail recipient.

The Attach Files window will open. Here you can specify the desired image size . You can select Small, Small, Medium and Large .

After selecting the size of the photos, you can check the Approximate Total Size of the photos that will be resized. Finish this process by clicking “Attach”.

Since you have chosen to send these photos to the recipient of your mail, Microsoft Outlook will open. In the program you will see the resized attached files.

Click the arrow on any of these attachments. A drop-down menu will appear. In it, select “Select All”.

After you have selected all the photos, repeat the process one more time. Click the arrow on any selection and this time choose Save As.

Choose where you want to save these resized photos. Then click OK.

Use a free tool

You can use Image Resizer for Windows for this. It’s free, small, and completely malware-free. This tool is now included in the Microsoft PowerToys package, so be sure to download it from there to get the latest version.

After downloading, click “Install”.

After the program is installed on your computer, you’re done. Now navigate to the folder containing the photos you want to resize.

Select your photos. Then right-click them and select Resize Image from the options.

A window will appear. Here you can change the basic settings of the images that will be processed.

You can choose the size of the pictures. If you don’t like the Small, Medium, Large and Phone sizes, choose a custom size. Custom selection is how you can adjust the aspect ratio of a specific batch of images.

You can also make images smaller but not larger, resize original images and ignore image orientation . Just select the one that suits you and click “Resize” when you’re done.
