How to change Windows 10 Login Screen.
“If it works and doesn’t look so bad, so be it†is what I follow. However, I just hate the new Windows 10 login screen. The back wallpaper is boring and there is no way to change it either.
We now see this login screen 10 times a day. And if you really don’t like it, why not change it. But how? There are no options in the Windows settings. Right? (the lock screen is another story)
Well, as always, if there is no default option, independent developers will find their way. And this time the kind people from MyDigitalLife took over the job.
Now I know I’m late for the party. This was done a long time ago. But back then it was unstable and caused login error for many users. (Microsoft is pushing updates). But now it is pretty stable.
So, here’s how to change the Windows 10 login screen.
Download the Win10BGChanger file from GitHub. It is a small 2MB zip file. Make sure you download the latest version – the one at the top.
After that, just unzip it with 7Zip or whatever compression program you use. There you will have two options – the command line and the graphical interface. Open the GUI folder and you will see a single exe file there. Run, no installation required
The rest speaks for itself. You may receive a warning like “use it at your own riskâ€. This is a precaution taken by the developer considering past effects. Click Yes to continue.
Now that the app opens, click on the folder icon in the upper right corner, select a new wallpaper for the login screen, and apply the changes.
That’s it, close the program and press Win + L on your keyboard, you will see the newly added wallpaper for the login screen.
