How to Delete All of Your Tweets At Once?

How to Delete All of Your Tweets At Once?.

I recently checked my old tweets dating back more than four years and was quite surprised that every tweet I made back then was meaningless and, frankly, a little childish. I wanted to delete all of them, but I was not ready to devote the weekend to manually delete over 3000 tweets. Fortunately, there are several third-party services that allow you to delete either all tweets, tweets from a specific date, or tweets with specific words. You can even only delete replies and retweets. Let’s see how.

Before we start

Due to the limitations of the Twitter API, a third-party app can only delete the most recent 3200 tweets. This includes the apps I’ve used on this list. To delete older tweets, apps need all of your Twitter account information to access any tweets that exceed this 3200 tweet mark. I have provided links to their privacy policy pages below and you can read them carefully before using the services. These apps do not use your Twitter data for anything other than deleting tweets, but it is always recommended that you read their Terms of Service before providing all of your data.

1. Delete recent tweets using TweetDelete

TweetDelete is one of the best services with free and premium plans. This web app has many advantages over other free apps, such as intuitive interface, customization options, etc. The free plan allows you to delete the last 3200 tweets, which is also the limit set by the Twitter API. They have transparent terms of service and Privacy Policy, which you can view by clicking on these links.

You still have several options for choosing which tweets to delete. You can choose the age of the tweets, such as tweets older than a week, a month, or a year, etc. This also allows you to select keywords so that the app only removes tweets that contain that keyword. To delete tweets using TweetDelete, go to the tweet deletion site and click the “Sign in with Twitter” button.

The web application will ask for access to your account and tweets, click “Authorize Application”. You will be prompted to log into your Twitter account if you are not logged into your browser. If you are worried

Select a time interval from the drop-down menu under the Age of Tweets to be deleted heading. You can also include a word / phrase if you just want to filter tweets with that word / phrase. Leave blank to delete all tweets. Then agree to the TweetDelete terms and click the Delete My Tweets button.

It will show you the status of how many tweets have been selected. This process can take a long time, depending on the number of tweets. You will receive a notification upon completion.

If you are not going to use the service again, you can easily revoke access. Just open Twitter tap More Settings & Privacy Account Apps & Sessions tap on tweetdelete.net and tap Revoke Access.

This method has an unfortunate caveat: the 3,200 tweet limit also includes deleted tweets. Let me explain, if you delete 100 tweets, TweetDelete will still count them and effectively only delete 3100 tweets. This means that you cannot use the free method multiple times to delete 3,200 tweets in groups. Simply put, if your account has less than 3,200 tweets, this web app is for you. However, if you want to remove more, you will have to use the premium feature.

Delete all tweets with a paid plan

If you have more than 3,200 tweets on your Twitter account, it’s best to use the premium TweetDelete feature. This is a one-time payment of $ 9.99, but this method requires a copy of your Twitter archive. This method is common to all services that offer bulk tweet deletion and is the only way to bypass Twitter’s strict rules.

The downloaded twitter data has links to all your tweets. Thus, even though Twitter does not provide more data than the last 3200 tweets, TweetDelete can access and delete all of your tweets from those links. If you are concerned about how TweetDelete will use your data, you can read their Privacy Policy.

First, download the Twitter archive of your account. Open Twitter tap More Settings & Privacy Account Your Twitter Details enter your password and tap Verify. Now click the “Request Archive” button next to Twitter. This will take anywhere from a few minutes to hours depending on the amount of tweets and media you have in your data.

When the archive download is ready, Twitter will send you a notification and a link to your email so you can download your data.

After uploading, upload the archive to TweetDelete. Now you can delete all tweets no matter when they were written. Open TweetDelete in your web browser and authorize the application.

2. Delete your tweets using TweetEraser

While TweetDelete does the job for $ 9.99, there is another app called TweetEraser that offers more features and also supports multiple accounts. TweetEraser has a $ 6.99 monthly subscription.

So if you just want to use it once, it will cost even less than TweetDelete. But if you want to use this service often, you can use TweetDelete. Both work fine and the process is just the same too, the only difference is their pricing strategy.

Tweet Eraser has 2 premium plans: Standard and Premium. While Standard costs $ 6.99 / month and Premium costs $ 9.99 / month, Eraser’s premium plan lets you keep copies of deleted tweets. Select a plan, click the “Get Started” button below it.

TweetEraser will get to work and start deleting your tweets one by one. Shutting down may take several hours depending on the number of tweets you want to delete.

Once uninstalled, open Twitter More Settings & Privacy Account Apps & Sessions click tweeteraser.com and click Revoke Access. So that TweetEraser no longer has access to your account.

I have used many apps like Twitwipe, Cardigan, Delete All Tweets, etc., but among them, these 2 apps are much better in every way, including the user interface.

Tweetdeleter is another app that I really liked as you can uninstall automatically. You can set the time like 1 week, month, 6 months, etc., and this app will automatically delete tweets after that time. It’s more of a setting for an expiration date for tweets. But it’s a little expensive and comes with a monthly subscription plan of $ 9.99 per month for the premium account and $ 14.99 per month for the unlimited account.
