iCloud App, Web, or Third-Party Apps: Which Is Better?

We recommend downloading iCloud backups via the iCloud website or the Apple iCloud app. They are more secure than third-party apps – recovery tools can access personal data and sensitive files in your iCloud backup. Use third-party apps only if you need to upload certain types of files that are not supported on the website or the Apple iCloud app.
