If you’d like to leave a review for a product you’ve purchased from Amazon, you can star and write a review. This gives information to others who may also buy this product.

Here we will show you how to add Amazon reviews for your purchases. We’ll also explain how to view your Amazon reviews if you want to make changes or delete a previous review.

How to Add a Review on Amazon

After a purchase, you often receive an email asking you to leave a review. Usually this email contains a link or a browse button that you can use to do so. But you can also visit Amazon.com or use the mobile app to leave a review and write a review.

Add a review online

Visit Amazon.com and sign in to your account. Then navigate to the order history list using the navigation at the top.

Select “Account & Lists” > “Orders” from the drop-down menu, or click the “Returns & Orders” button.

On the next page, make sure you are on the Orders tab. To the right of the product, select “Write a product review”.

Start by adding an overall star rating for the product. You can then rate the product in a separate category if you wish. These categories differ depending on the type of product you are viewing.

Add a title to your review title and optionally include photos or videos if you think it will help other buyers. Finally, you can add written feedback if you want to provide feedback. When you’re done, click Submit.

You won’t immediately see your review on the product page. Amazon will first make sure that the review is not an exchange for money, self-promotion or misleading.

When your review is accepted, you will receive an email informing you that it will appear on the product page along with other customer reviews.

Add a review to the mobile app

Open the Amazon mobile app on Android or iPhone and access your orders to select a product.

Go to your profile tab and select Your Orders to select a product.

Under How do you like this product?, select Write a product review. Give an overview using stars at the top and a rating for each category (optional). Enter a title and optionally add a photo, video, or written review. Click Submit.

As with submitting a review online, you will receive an email when your review is attached to the product.

You may want to revise or edit your review. You can see all the Amazon product reviews you’ve provided by logging into your public profile.

Visit Amazon.com and sign in. Select “Account & Lists” > “Account” from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner. On the next screen, select your profiles.

Then select the Amazon Public Profile link. Make sure you see a message at the top stating that you are seeing a private view of your public profile.

In the Community Activity section on the right, select View: All Activity and select Testimonials.

You will then see a list of all the reviews you have submitted. You can use View Full Review to see just that, or select the product you’ve reviewed to view its details page.

See reviews in the mobile app

Open the Amazon mobile app and navigate to the profile tab. Click your Amazon profile icon in the top right corner. You should see a message at the top telling you this is a private view of your public profile.

Under Community Activity, select View: All Activity and select Testimonials.

After that, you will see all the reviews you sent. You can click View Full Review or select a product to view its details page.

How to Edit or Delete an Amazon Review

Perhaps you left a positive review about the product and changed your mind. Or perhaps you did the opposite, left a negative review and changed your mind. You can easily edit or delete your own reviews.

Edit or delete a review online

Once you’re signed in to Amazon.com, you’ll have access to your public profile reviews as described above.

Either select the three dots in the top right corner of the review, or use View Full Review. Then select Edit Review or Edit. To delete a review, select Delete Review or Delete instead, and then confirm the deletion.

If you choose to edit a review, you will see your review including stars, photos, and written content as you submitted it. Make your changes and click Submit. Edit or delete feedback in the mobile app

While on the Amazon mobile app, access your reviews as described earlier.

Click the three dots in the top right corner of the review, or select View Full Review. Select Edit Review or Edit. To delete a review, select Delete Review or Delete and then confirm the deletion.

If you decide to edit your review, make your changes and click Submit.

Submitting a review to Amazon only takes a minute, whether you’re adding stars or going the extra mile by adding a photo and a written review. Be helpful to your fellow buyers with a solid and honest review.
