How to Remove Cellular Data Limit Exceeded Notification.
I recently received an email from one of my subscribers saying that he had an annoying problem on his Android device. Here’s what he wrote in an email.
Hello Mrinal
I recently got this annoying notification on my Android smartphone running Marshmallow. I have exceeded my mobile data limit a few weeks ago. And now my home screen is constantly showing a Data Usage Warning notification. When I click on this notification, the data usage settings page opens. But I cannot find a way to remove it.
What I have done so far.
- Swipe left or right on a notification as we do to remove another notification, but it doesn’t work here
- Tried to increase my data limit threshold but couldn’t find this option
- Ending this process and restarting Android doesn’t help either
In general, the notification of exceeding the data limit over the cellular network is very annoying.
Please help me remove this mobile data limit alert. I don’t want to restart my phone.
Solution: Fix cellular data limit exceeded notification
Well, the good news is that you don’t need to restart your phone. You can fix it in 5 seconds.
The reason you don’t see the option to remove this is because your mobile data must be turned on and only then will you see this option change your mobile data threshold. And I am assuming you were on Wi-Fi accessing this option.
Here’s how to remove this mobile data limit notification?
1. Turn on mobile internet.
2. Now go to the settings app. To do this, open the notification panel and click on “Settings”.
3. Once on the Settings page, find the Data Usage option under Wireless & networks. This is usually the fourth option from the top.
4. Now turn off the Set Cellular Data Limit option and swipe the notification to the left. This time he will leave. Or, if you keep a data limit alert, increase the alert threshold.
5. Finally, turn off mobile data. You don’t want to receive this notification anytime soon. Right?
Well that’s all. If you encounter any technical error, please email us at [email protected] or tweet me.
