How to see Deleted Reddit Posts.
Reddit is one of the most popular social media discussion sites. However, the problem with the platform is that if a Reddit user, administrator, or moderator deletes a post or comment, it will disappear. This could mean losing key information, a great recipe, or a funny meme.
Fortunately, it is sometimes possible to retrieve and view deleted Reddit posts. Here’s how.
Note. Because Reddit is constantly updating its platform and third-party apps work without Reddit’s permission, they often stop working.
Reveddit
Reveddit is probably the most powerful tool for viewing and tracking deleted content on Reddit. However, it doesn’t show user-deleted content (it only shows content deleted by a moderator or bot).
Reveddit can also notify you when your posts or comments are deleted, which means you can contact mods and find out why they removed them. This is especially handy if you are shadowbanned and don’t know about it.
To use Reveddit:
Launch the Reveddit website. Enter any subreddit, post title, or Redditor username in the search bar and click Go.
Reveddit will display a list of the posts that have been deleted, allowing you to navigate through the deleted posts in the same way you would normally navigate Reddit.
Unddit
It is a third party tool designed to replace Removeddit and Ceddit when they stop working.
Unddit uses Pushshift.io, a database that automatically saves comments made on Reddit. It compares the Pushshift database to the Reddit API to see deleted Reddit comments and then lists them for viewing. Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to work with posts, and when the Pushshift.io database falls behind, many deleted comments won’t be visible.
To use Unddit:
Open the Unddit website.At the top of the page, save the Unddit link as a bookmark.
Navigate to a specific Reddit post or thread where you’d like to see deleted comments. Click bookmarklet.
Unddit will now download a list of all deleted Reddit comments from that post.
Resavr
Resavr is less powerful than the other tools on this list, but allows you to view deleted comments on Reddit, including over 650 words.
The restorer is simple; you just need to go to the Resavr webpage and find the deleted comment. The home page also displays a list of all recently deleted comments.
Unfortunately, while you can see deleted comments, you can’t read deleted Reddit posts with Resavr.
Wayback Machine
The Wayback Machine is a non-commercial website whose purpose is to store archived versions of websites as snapshots of the past. This makes it possible to access cached web pages from historical points in time.
To use the Wayback Machine to view deleted comments:
Open the Wayback Machine web page.In the search bar, copy and paste the URL of the post you want to view.
The website will display a calendar interface with blue circles indicating when the Wayback Machine has crawled the page. In the original post, note when someone deleted the comment (say 13 days ago). Then, on the Wayback Machine, find and hover over that date and select a point in time.
The Wayback Machine will now display the historical version of a particular post with deleted comments visible.
Thanks to the way the Wayback Machine works, you’ll be able to read deleted Reddit comments, posts, and even previous edits.
List of Tools That No Longer Work
Over the years, several apps have been developed to allow you to view deleted Reddit posts and comments. However, many of them stop working over time as the Reddit platform updates or the software becomes outdated. Here are some of these legacy tools:

Travel Back in Time
Reddit is notorious for overzealous moderators who love to delete posts and comments. Unfortunately, many of these posts are helpful (or at least funny) and you may have forgotten to save them while they were alive. Luckily, it’s usually possible to view deleted Reddit content again with these tools.
