In this guide, we are going to show you how to share Apple Music playlist to Mac, Android and iPhone. This way you can connect with other users so they can see what you are listening to.
How to Share an Apple Music Playlist
Whether you’ve just created a new playlist or converted your Spotify playlist to Apple Music playlist and want to share it with other devices or users, Apple Music provides an easy way to do just that.
Note. Apple Music is not available for Windows users.
Share the music you listen to
Mac
You can share your Apple Music playlist right from the app on Mac and let others enjoy what you are listening to.
Launch the Music app on your Mac and select Listen Now from the left sidebar.
Select My Account in the upper right corner of the application window.
If this is your first time doing this, the Music + Friends pop-up will appear on your screen. Click the Get Started button.
Next, you will see the “Help Others Find You” pop-up window with your name and username already entered in the appropriate fields. Click the gray “Continue Searching for Contacts” button to add acquaintances.
Select your friends from the Find and Follow Friends pop-up window, and then click Next.
In the Choose Who Can Follow You pop-up window, choose one of the options: Everyone, People You Approve, Allow Apple ID Searches, or Apple Music Contacts.
Select “Next”.
In the Show Your Playlists pop-up window, click Next.
Select the type of updates you want to receive: Friends Activity, Artists & Apps, or both, and then click Done.
Then click the “My Account” button.
Select “Edit”.
Then select Advanced Privacy Settings.
Select Listen. This will display what you are listening to on your profile.
Other users can view the albums and playlists you are listening to on your profile. Your followers will also see your profile photo next to the music you play.
Share Apple Music Playlist
You can also share Apple Music playlist from Music app on your Mac.
Launch the Music app and select the playlist you want to share from the left sidebar.
Select “Post” in your profile and search directly above the list of songs in your playlist.
The playlist will be visible to other users. You can deselect Publish to Profile and Search to stop showing and sharing the playlist.
Android
You can also share your Apple Music playlists with other users from your Android phone or tablet in a few easy steps.
Launch the Apple Music app on your Android device and tap Library.
Click Playlists.
Then press and hold the playlist you want to share, and then tap Share Playlist.
Select “Copy Link” or “Advanced Options” to share your playlist link with other users through other apps like Instagram, WhatsApp and others.
You can also open a playlist and then share it with other users from your Android device.
Tap the Library tab.
Then click on “Playlists”.
Tap the playlist you want to share to open its profile, then tap More (the ellipsis) in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Click Share Playlist, and then click Copy Link or More Options to share with others.
Note. Other users can only view and listen to the playlist if they also have an Apple Music account and subscription. If they do, the playlist will be included in their library so that they can view and listen to it at any time.
iPhone/iPad
Sharing Apple Music playlist on your iPhone or iPad is easy with a few quick steps.
Open Apple Music on your iPhone or iPad and tap the Library tab.
Click Playlists.
Then tap the playlist you want to share.
Click the menu icon (the three-dot icon) and then click Share Playlist.
You can choose the platform through which you want to share the playlist, such as messages, email, social networks, etc. You can also share directly with a recent contact or via AirDrop with other Apple devices nearby.
Alternatively, click Copy to copy the playlist URL and paste it wherever you want to share your playlist.
