Quite often, people have multiple social media accounts. Perhaps they have a personal profile for friends and family and another for business? In an era where personal life and work often threaten to overlap with each other on the Internet, it is wise to keep them separate if possible.
Or maybe you are a social media manager who works with multiple accounts? On a smartphone, logging in and out of an account (and remembering the login information) is the height of boredom, especially if you have thumbs like mine.
Instagram, on the other hand, makes things easier by letting you link accounts to each other and then switch between them with a couple of taps. Unfortunately, this only works on smartphones so far.
How to link multiple Instagram accounts together
My dog ??has his own Instagram account (what can I say, a real diva). I’m going to link his account with mine to make it easier for me to add photos.
Once you’ve signed in to your first account, it’s time to connect your second. Go to your profile and click on the three vertical lines (“hamburger menu”) in the upper right corner.
This will move the screen to the left, and on the panel that appears, scroll down and click “Settings”.
Now scroll all the way until you see the Logins section. Click on Add Account.
You will now get a standard Instagram login screen. Sign in to the second account.
If you return to your profile page now, an arrow will appear next to your name. Click on this.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see a menu with a connected account.
If you have any more accounts to connect, continue. I am not aware of Instagram’s restrictions on linking accounts.
That’s all. Another thing to mention is that when you post photos now, you have the option to post the image to multiple accounts at once, which saves time.
