How to Take Screenshots in Restricted Apps in Android.

I was recently browsing the onion site in a Tor browser and had to send a screenshot of him to a friend. To my surprise, Tor wouldn’t let me do this. Even if I look at the recording, everything turns out to be black. I started browsing the list and found that every browser in its private mode does not allow screenshots. The other day I wanted to send screenshots of a transaction, and it turned out that I cannot take a screenshot in banking applications. It got on my nerves and I had to find a way.

One easy way is to just take a picture with another phone and send it. But I found an interesting way to do it through Google Assistant. So here’s how to take screenshots of restricted apps.

How to take screenshots of restricted apps

1. Google Assistant

This might be the easiest way to take a screenshot and it seems to work in most applications. He worked in Tor, incognito in browsers, and even in banking applications. All you have to do is turn on certain settings in Google Assistant. We need to enable screen context in Google Assistant settings. To do this, activate Google Assistant and click the Compass icon on the right.

Now, on the Overview page, click the profile icon in the upper right corner. From the extended dropdown menu, click on Settings.

On the settings page, swipe right to go to the Assistant tab. At the bottom of the tab, you’ll see devices connected to Google Assistant. In this case, we are considering our smartphone, so click “Phone”.

Once you’re on the phone page, go to the bottom of the screen to the General section. Turn on Use Screen Context and Donate Screenshots as this will allow Google Assistant to take screenshots. But before you do that, we need to understand what this option does. Once you turn it on, the Google Assistant can analyze what happens on your screen when you call it.

Now go to the restricted app that doesn’t allow you to take screenshots. In a restricted app, open the Google Assistant and tap What’s on my screen? Or you can also ask, “What’s on my screen.”

The Google Assistant then analyzes what’s on your page. It doesn’t matter and you can click Share Screenshot on this page. Now Google Assistant will take a screenshot and show you a pop-up to share with different apps.

The easiest way to take a screenshot in restricted apps is through the Google Assistant. I would recommend turning off your screen analysis settings after you take a screenshot. This protects your screen data from being analyzed by the Google Assistant.

In addition, there are several other ways to do this, but these involve rooting your device. If you already have a rooted device, you should try the ReEnable Screenshot Module. This module allows you to take screenshots for applications, and therefore you can take screenshots. For any queries or questions, let me know in the comments below.
