How to use apple pay to send money.
Apple Pay makes it easy to pay for almost everything. Just set up the debit or credit cards you want to use with your Apple Wallet, and when you’re ready to pay, online or in person, you can pay with one tap.
Let’s assume you’ve already set up Apple Pay on your iPhone. We’ll show you how to pay with Apple Pay for online and mobile purchases, as well as in brick-and-mortar stores. We’ll also explain how to pay someone with Apple Pay and how to find nearby businesses that accept it.
How To Pay With Apple Pay on the Web or in an App
If the store accepts Apple Pay, you’ll see the Apple Pay logo at checkout. You can check if they accept Apple Pay by contacting customer support before purchasing.
Choose Apple Pay as your payment method when you’re ready to pay. You will then see the default card, but you can click on the arrow to select a different one if you like. Fill in any remaining payment details if necessary. On iPhone or iPad, confirm the payment by double-clicking the side button and verifying with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode. On a Mac, verify with Touch ID or a password.
How To Pay With Apple Pay in Person
If you’re visiting a physical store, you can use Apple Pay to see if you can see one of the logos on the payment terminal.
When you’re ready to pay, open your Apple Wallet:
double-tap the side button if you have an iPhone that uses Face ID. If you have an iPhone that uses Touch ID, double-tap the ” Home”.
If you don’t want to use the map shown above, tap other maps below to view them all. Select the card you want to use and it will appear at the top.
Then bring your iPhone to the payment terminal.
If the payment was successful, a checkmark will appear on the iPhone screen that says â€œDoneâ€.
Can’t access the Wallet app?
If you double-click the side button or the home button to open the wallet as described above and it doesn’t work, make sure this setting is enabled.
Open Settings on your iPhone.Select Wallet and Apple Pay. Make sure the toggle for double-clicking the side/home button is on (green).
Find Stores That Accept Apple Pay
Once you start using Apple Pay a lot, you’ll realize how convenient it is, so you might want to visit places that offer this convenient payment method.
Before you walk out the door, you can check where Apple Pay is accepted in two easy ways.
Just ask Siri.
With Siri as your digital assistant, you can easily find your nearest business that accepts Apple Pay.
Just ask something like:
“1- Hey Siri, is there a coffee shop nearby that accepts Apple Pay?”2- Hey Siri, what gas stations on Main Street accept Apple Pay?” “3- Hey”. Siri, can I use Apple Pay at Walgreens?”
Siri must match the options and responses on your iPhone.
Use the Apple Maps app
The Maps app is another handy tool for finding places that accept Apple Pay. On iPhone, iPad, or Mac, you can find the Apple Pay logo in your company info.
Select a company on Maps and scroll down to the Good to Know section. You will see logos under contactless payments.
How To Pay an Individual With Apple Pay
If you want to send money to a friend or family member, you can also do so with Apple Pay using the Messages (iMessage) app. Before sending money, you must select the credit or debit card you want to use.
Open a conversation in the Messages app. Under the message field, click the Apple Pay button.Enter the amount you want to send and click Pay.Click the Send button.
Tap the card in the pop-up below and select the card you want to use. Disable the toggle at the top for Apple Cash (described below), if enabled. Press X to close the pop-up.Confirm your payment details, double-tap the side button, and verify your payment with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.< /ol>
How To Use Apple Cash With Apple Pay
Another handy Apple Pay feature is Apple Cash (formerly Apple Pay Cash). If you’d like to use your Apple Cash balance with Apple Pay, simply select your card in Wallet during checkout. Just make sure you set up Apple Cash beforehand.
You can also send money to others using Apple Cash. You can lend a friend a few dollars or pay your kids their allowance right through the Messages app.
Open a conversation in the Messages app. Under the message box, click the Apple Pay button. Enter the amount you want to send and click Pay. View the details that Apple Cash should show as a payment method. Click the Submit button and confirm the payment with Face ID, Touch ID, or password.
Don’t see Apple Cash as an option?
If you don’t see Apple Cash as a payment option in the store or through Messages, make sure it’s turned on.
Open the Settings app and select Wallet and Apple Pay. Make sure the Apple Cash toggle at the top is turned on.
