How do I watch the Winter Olympics on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari?

Personally, I prefer to watch shows and live sports on my laptop. Firstly, it is inconvenient for me to turn on the TV and then flip through the channels. Moreover, I can always see the results on my PC while I work. Trust me, I had to jump over many ways to get a live stream of the Winter Olympics, however every site I visited got the following error message: “Sorry. TVPlayer is currently only available in the UK. ” Don’t worry, we’ll give you a step-by-step guide on how to access the live stream of the current Winter Olympics.

Step 1. Use a VPN

Content on most sites is currently geographically blocked. This means you need to bypass geographic restrictions in order to access your content. The best way to do this is by using a VPN. I am assuming you are already using the VPN of your choice, if you don’t worry you can always choose from this list of awesome free VPN services. For more reliability, choose a paid VPN like ExpressVPN or NordVPN, both offer a free trial and many people report that they work fine. Alternatively, you can also install VPN services on Apple TV, Xbox, PlayStation, Android TV, and Amazon Fire TV. With this, very little can go wrong. Open the VPN app and connect to the appropriate location. We will mention the location next to the services.

Step 2: Switch to the appropriate server location

You can watch the 2018 Winter Olympics using YouTube TV or TVPlayer.com. However, both are only available in the UK and US respectively. So, using a VPN, you need to bypass your geographic location in a supported country (like the US or UK) and then use either of the following two services.

2.1 YouTube TV (recommended)

YouTube needs no introduction. We all rely on YouTube to meet our diverse entertainment needs. However, YouTube TV is a paid service and you need to subscribe to it. On the other hand, you can still sign up for a 30-day free trial and end your subscription well before renewing. Users can watch the Winter Olympics on NBC Sports, which is included with YouTube TV subscriptions.
Switch to a server in the US if you want to watch the Winter Olympics on Youtube TV. You will need a US IP address to access the channels, and if you are outside the US, you will need to use a VPN.

2.2 TVPlayer.com

TVPlayer is a legitimate website that broadcasts content about the Olympic Winter Games. The best part is that they don’t broadcast ads and there are no delays. What’s more, you also don’t need to register and you can connect right away. That being said, I personally find it difficult to keep track of certain events, and you may need to browse several channels before finding the one you want. BTW, TVPlayer.com is currently only available in the UK, others need a VPN. So switch to a server in the UK if you want to watch the Winter Olympics through TVPlayer.com.

How to watch the US Winter Olympics directly

Well, not everyone needs a VPN to watch. For example, in the US, NBC broadcasts the Winter Olympics on its website as well as through the NBC Sports app. The best part is that you can stream for free and also have access to playback for 30 minutes. However, users can continue to stream live and watch the entire event without interruption.

How to watch the UK Winter Olympics live

Even in the UK you can watch the UK Winter Olympics directly. But for this you need a TV license and then use it in BBC iPlayer. The BBC is the official broadcaster of the game and they broadcast without delay. BBC iPlayer can be accessed from tablet, smartphone, web browser, TV and game console. The caveat is that the BBC only covers a select few events and this is something you need to live with.

How to watch the Winter Olympics on iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Apple TV

We have already covered some of the methods, but in this section we will explain in detail how you can stream the 2018 Winter Olympics to your Apple device. You can tune in to the NBC Sports app for iOS and tvOS, and you can access a free 30-minute live stream followed by a 5-minute live stream every day. Alternatively, you can also check out Sling TV, DirecTV Now, and Hulu Live Tv, all of which offer a free 7-day trial. Alternatively, you can also visit NBCOlympics.com , a live streaming website compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Edge browsers.

How to watch the Winter Olympics on Android

You can use the NBC Sports app again, but limited to 30 minutes of free live streaming applies here. You can also watch on Hulu Live TV. However, if you would like to receive detailed live coverage of all events, you can simply subscribe to Eurosport. Finally, if you have a VR headset, use it. You can watch 360-degree coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics on the NBC Sports VR app.
