Mirror Your Android Screen to Any Computer With TeamViewer.

There are many apps on the Google Play store that let you cast your Android screen to your computer. But most of them are unreliable and some of them, which sometimes work, are filled with pop-up ads and often get paid.

But you know what, you can use good old TeamViewer to cast your Android screen to PC and macOS. This is useful if you want to show a customer a product demo of your application on a large screen or remotely troubleshoot a parent’s smartphone.

Read the following article or scroll down to the bottom to watch this video.

Why use TeamViewer to send Android screen to PC

  3. Works with both mobile data and WiFi
  4. Secure connection with 256-bit AES session encryption.
  5. View device information.

Other things you can do with TeamViewer on Android

Besides sharing your live screen from Android to your computer, there are a few more things you can do with the Teamviewer Host app.

Shared Clipboard – Teamview supports a generic clipboard. If you copy text to your computer, it is also copied to the Android clipboard automatically.

Uninstalling Apps – In the Apps section you can quickly uninstall apps, however the user will have to confirm the same on their Android device.

Remote control. While you cannot control your Android smartphone from your computer, you can direct another person. For example, if you click on a specific part of the Android screen in the Teamviewer app on the computer, the Android phone displays a hand gesture to help the Android user solve their problem. This is useful if you are troubleshooting issues with your parent smartphone.

File Transfer – TeamViewer supports FTP, which means you can transfer files from your computer to Android and vice versa.

Conclusion: the Android screen is mirrored

During testing, I played a YouTube video on my Android device and TeamViewer was able to stream it to the big screen with little to no lag or significant dropouts. However, it can only reflect the Android screen, it does not transmit sound.

One important thing to keep in mind is that if you give unlimited unattended access, the other party can see everything you do on your Android. This means that if you open the bank app on your Andoird or send a confidential email, the other person can see it in plain sight. Yes, you will still receive a notification that TeamViewer is on, but if you already have too many notifications, you can easily mix them up.

Overall Teamviewer did a great job of my testing and had all the features I needed for free. However, screen mirroring can be dangerous if you are not careful with who you share data with, so be careful when using these apps.
