Roborock S6 Robot Vacuum.roborock s6 maxv.Few smart devices are as useful as a robot vacuum cleaner. Being able to schedule cleaning while you are away from work means coming home every day with a clean floor. It’s even better if you or your family are allergic, because constant cleaning reduces the amount of allergens in the air.

The challenge is finding a balance between performance and cost While there are many lower end robot vacuums out there, only a few provide the dollar-for-dollar performance of the Roborock S6 robot vacuum

Features of the Roborock S6 Robot Vacuum

Most of the robot vacuum cleaners on the market are known primarily for their vacuum cleaner. After all, this is their main goal. If you need a floor cleaner, you need to purchase a robotic mop like the Braava Jet.

The Roborock S6 robot vacuum cleaner can both vacuum and mop the floors. While it doesn’t switch automatically, switching modes is easy. The S6 is noticeably quiet too, especially when compared to the cheaper options. Its level is only 67 decibels, which roughly corresponds to the level of a hair dryer.

The 5200mAh battery gives it a total runtime of around 180 minutes before the Roborock S6 needs to be returned for charging. This is enough for a relatively thorough cleaning, although the time it takes to clean the house will be shorter the more you use the device – more on that later.

According to the specification, the Roborock S6 is suitable for an area of ??about 200 square meters. That’s roughly 2,000 square feet, or the size of an average three-bedroom home.

One of the main features that makes Roborock a solid choice is the sensor array. Sensient’s array of sensors use accelerometers, odometers, infrared sensors, and even a compass to give the S6 a 360-degree “field of view”, allowing it to efficiently navigate a room, detect rocks, and more.

Finally, let’s discuss cleaning it up. The Roborock S6 can vacuum and mop, but you have to manually change modes and attach different cleaning wipes. The device works incredibly well as a vacuum cleaner. While it can also mop floors, it is not an easy process and requires more user intervention.

Room layout and area navigation

The Roborock S6 Robot Vacuum Cleaner uses a suite of sensors to map your home. The more the S6 cleans up your house, the more accurate the map. He then uses this map to determine the most efficient route through the space, resulting in faster, more efficient cleaning.

This feature is especially noticeable when cleaning large houses. The S6 will keep cleaning until it’s complete, but if the job takes longer than its battery can handle, the S6 will return to the dock to charge and then resume.

As the map improves over time, the Roborock S6 will clear the same area faster than before. It uses quad-core processors to determine the most efficient routes in space. You can also use the map to indicate areas that need to be cleaned, or to indicate “restricted areas” that the robot vacuum should not enter.

The ability to set up enclosed areas is extremely useful, especially if there are areas that will entangle or clog the vacuum. For example, a place under a table with a lot of cables can create vacuum problems.

There is something nice about seeing a robot map of your house.

Scheduling and other features

Apart from the basic functions of the Roborock S6 robot vacuum cleaner, it has several other functions hidden in various menus in the app. One of them is the map save mode, which is currently still in beta testing. It allows users to edit saved map data and create invisible walls that the Roborock S6 will not pass by.

Another is Carpet Mode, which allows the S6 to automatically increase its already significant suction power as it travels across carpet. You can also enable Do Not Disturb mode, which forces the S6 to stay in the dock after it finishes charging. It will not resume cleaning work or make announcements through the built-in speakers.

You can turn on Do Not Disturb mode at certain times. For example, if you do not want the vacuum cleaner to work and bother you in the middle of the night, you can turn it off from 9 pm to 8 am.

Two other features that stand out are Pin n Go and remote control. Pin n Go opens the saved map and allows you to specify a specific target for the Roborock S6. You can also enable spot cleaning using this same function.

Remote control functionality gives you precise control over Roborock movements. You can do this with the virtual buttons that allow you to move it forward or rotate it to the right or left, or with the virtual joystick.

Is the Roborock S6 Vacuum Cleaner Worth the Price?

The Roborock S6 has a high price tag of $ 650, but given the powerful cleaning features and feature set, we think the price is more than justified. It competes with many robotic vacuum cleaners even at a higher price.

However, this might not be the right choice for someone’s first robot vacuum cleaner. If you’re curious about how the devices work and want to try one for yourself, it might be worth exploring cheaper options with less risk before investing $ 650 on a product you may or may not use.
