What’s Gmail’s Confidential Mode?

Gmail’s private mode allows you to send confidential or private emails to other Gmail users, as well as people who use other email clients such as Outlook, Yahoo, or iCloud.

When you send an email in confidential mode, you can manually set an expiration date for it – the date that the email will disappear from the recipient’s Gmail account. This feature is handy if you are sending post-read information to someone and do not want it to be left in their inbox. You can set the email expiration date up to 1 day, or leave it up to 5 years.

Another benefit of using Gmail confidential mode is the ability to set an SMS passcode required to read your email. This means that no one can read the contents of your message without the text containing the passcode required to open it.
