The first thing you need to do when deciding which work tablet is best for you is to determine the conditions for your productivity. All tablets can help you be more productive, but you need to decide if you want to do more things less efficiently or less things more efficiently.
All tablets can more or less perform the same tasks. More capable tablets can do extra tasks at the expense of battery life, and vice versa. This is why the order of my top 5 may differ from yours.
Without further ado, let’s get down to business.
5. Amazon Fire HD Tablet
The only reason this amazing (no pun intended) car didn’t end up lower on my list is because it doesn’t have the same features that some of the other models offer. This machine has 10 hours of battery life, which is not bad compared to some of the other competitors, but lacks functionality severely in my opinion.
This tablet is ideal for web browsing, watching videos and checking emails. Data-intensive apps like games, HBO, and Spotify will dramatically reduce battery life. However, with full Alexa support, managing your schedules and events is even easier. It’s as if you have a personal assistant, and for that reason alone, this tablet can definitely compete with high rollers.
Pros:
- 10 hours of battery life.
- Quad core processor.
- Integration with the “Alexa†speakerphone function.
- Voice in smart home control
Cons:
- Starts with 32GB of memory.
- If you don’t buy the no-special option, your tablet will be riddled with ads.
- Poor camera and sound quality.
- More RAM required
4. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 “
In my opinion, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 â€is very similar to the Amazon Fire, which is why it is so highly placed. This tablet is primarily geared towards web apps, but it has unprecedented battery life, so even though it runs the Android 7.1 operating system, it can do pretty much everything a computer can do with one of the most powerful batteries on the market.
One of my favorite parts of this tablet is the size. Most people probably aren’t looking for a small tablet (it’s not much larger than a Galaxy Note smartphone), but its compact size makes it ideal for working on the go and is guaranteed to increase productivity.
Pros:
- 14 hours of video playback.
- Expandable memory up to 256GB (micro SD card slot).
- Integration with Bixby Home (similar to Amazon Alexa)
- Android 7.1 operating system is very responsive.
Cons:
- The base model has only 32 GB of disk space.
- 8MP main camera / 5MP front camera
3. Lenovo Yoga Book
This tablet is the perfect 2-in-1 tablet especially useful for construction, graphic design and art-related work. The 360-degree hinge allows 4 different view configurations: Build mode, View mode, View mode and Input mode.
My all-time favorite part about this tablet (besides the one screen converting into a virtual keyboard) is the 2.4GHz Intel Atom processor and 4GB of dedicated RAM (most tablets only come with two). If you need to do some graphic design work, this is the best tablet to use.
Pros:
- 12 hours of battery life.
- 10.1 ” Full HD display and Dolby Atmos speakers.
- 2.4 GHz Intel Atom Processor / 4 GB dedicated RAM
- You can use a REAL PEN when writing on the tablet surface.
Cons:
- The main camera is only 2 MP.
- There are no storage upgrade options available.
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
- Only one micro USB and one micro HDMI port
2. Apple iPad Pro 10.5-inch
I bet this choice won’t surprise you, but yes, the Apple iPad is definitely one of the best all-round tablets on the market in terms of performance, and for good reason. The retailer’s website says the tablet has up to 10 hours of battery life, but I personally watched it for over 12 hours of live streams (dimmed) with no problem.
As mentioned earlier, battery life depends on the load. What I like most about this car is the storage capability. 1TB of storage definitely goes a long way to the work I love doing (photography and writing). Overall, this is a respectable machine for getting the job done.
Pros:
- 12.9-inch LCD Retina edge-to-edge display.
- Various storage options (64GB / 256GB / 512GB / 1TB).
- Cameras are great (12MP rear / 7MP front)
Cons:
- Users are reporting system and touch screen crashes.
- Unable to copy Microsoft office files via USB-C port (must be done via cloud services)
- The entire machine is known to bend and deform under stress.
- Very expensive compared to other tablets on the market.
1. Dell Latitude 7000 7202 Rugged 11.6 inch
The Dell Latitude is one of the best tablets on the market, mainly because it is virtually invulnerable. With a 26-hour lithium-ion battery, this is one of the most durable tablets ever made.
According to environmental testing data provided by Dell, this military grade tablet can operate in temperatures ranging from “145 degrees F (63 C) to -20 degrees F (-29 C). Storage temperature is 160F (71C) and low temperature is -60F (-51C) â€(Amazon).
This tablet is ideal for outdoor and field use, but battery problems are known to occur later in its life. This problem can be easily solved with hot-swappable batteries, which allow you to replace batteries without closing running applications.
The main reason my top pick may be different from yours is that unless you are doing extensive field work, many of these features may not be appropriate for the type of work you need to do and they will not be appropriate for the environment. which work will be completed.
Overall, this is a fantastic car.
Pros:
- Hot swappable battery.
- Robust construction.
- Resistant to extreme temperatures.
- Waterproof.
- Possibility to work with gloves.
- Anti Vibration
- 8GB RAM / 512GB SSD
Cons:
- Resolution issues at extreme temperatures.
- Heavy build
Since everyone has different needs and every work environment is unique, this diverse group of tablets should meet the needs of most people. Which tablets do you think should be on this list? Let me know on social media!
