The rise of WhatsApp as a global instant messaging platform has been phenomenal. WhatsApp has half a billion users worldwide, which is probably why Facebook was happy to pay the company over $ 19 billion in 2014.
This means that many people spend a lot of time on the WhatsApp mobile app. So why not decorate a rather boring design with a wallpaper of your choice?
That’s right, you can choose the wallpaper of your choice, which will serve as the background for the chat window. It’s pretty easy too! The only downside is that you cannot select separate wallpapers for each chat, which would be a great feature.
Perhaps one day the developers will decide to add it to iOS and Android apps, although separate wallpapers seem possible on Windows Phones. Here’s how to change WhatsApp wallpaper on Android phones.
Change WhatsApp Chat wallpaper
The first thing you need to do is open Whatsapp and click on any chat.
Tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen, then tap Wallpaper.
You will see a list of wallpaper sources. If you choose the official wallpaper library, you will be taken to the Play store to install the wallpaper pack. In this case, we will simply select the wallpaper from the Pinterest gallery on our phone.
The choice, of course, is entirely up to you. Note that you can have no wallpaper at all, or simply reset it to their defaults by selecting the appropriate options.
For our purposes click “Gallery”.
Navigate to the image you want to use, then tap the desired image.
You will be taken to the wallpaper preview screen. Pinch your fingers together to enlarge the image and drag to adjust it. When you are happy with its placement, click Install.
Like this! Now your WhatsApp experience will be a little more enjoyable. Have a nice chat!
