You can use WhatsApp from your computer with WhatsApp Web It allows you to send and read texts from your computer by connecting directly to your phone via the WhatsApp mobile application. Everything looks almost the same as in the mobile application, with one important exception – you cannot make video calls on WhatsApp Web

If you want to make WhatsApp video calls from your computer, you cannot use the WhatsApp web interface. Instead, you can install WhatsApp on your computer and launch it there as if it were on your phone.

The only problem is that there is no desktop version of WhatsApp that supports webcams! The solution is to install the WhatsApp mobile app in an Android emulator so that your computer thinks that the app is mobile. This will enable the video calling function.

Here’s how to make your computer think you’re on the phone so you can make WhatsApp video calls using your webcam. The method we’ll be using involves a completely free Android emulator that fully supports WhatsApp and works almost as well as a real mobile app.

To make video calls using WhatsApp on a computer, we must avoid using WhatsApp Web and go straight to using the Android app.

  • Download BlueStacks, a free Android emulator for Windows and Mac.

Other options for WhatsApp video calling on the web

You should know that BlueStacks is not the only Android emulator. Some other options include NoxPlayer, Remix OS Player, and Andy We’ve reviewed some of the best Android emulators in the past

It’s important to note that not all Android emulators have a built-in app store like BlueStacks. This is the easiest way to install WhatsApp on your computer; otherwise, you will have to find the WhatsApp APK file and manually install it, which doesn’t always work as expected.

WhatsApp isn’t the only video calling app. There are plenty to choose from, some of which fully support web video calling without having to jump through hoops as is the case with WhatsApp.

Facebook Messenger and Skype are two examples of apps that have web versions that can make video calls. Just visit Messenger.com or web.skype.com to make video calls from your computer without WhatsApp.
